IT'S NOW OR NEVER!: Be a Licensed Real Estate Professional

It was September 2011 when by virtue of RA No. 9646 also known as the "Real Estate Service Act" (RESA), the Bachelor of Science in Real Estate Management (BS REM) was formally approved and implemented. What can this mean to us?

If you are thinking of pursuing a career in real estate, this year CAN BE your last chance to take the 120-hr CRES requirement for the PRC board exams. Why? 2015 will mark the first batch of BS REM graduates, a valid indication that by 2016, PRC might NOT accommodate non-graduates of the said course to take the broker / appraisers exam. 

In the past years, real estate board exams are held on the month of March (for brokers) and July (for appraisers) but if you check the schedule of exams on the official PRC website, you will notice that they moved it on the following dates this year.

Again, what does this imply? Is the commission giving us more time to prepare or is it simply a random picking of exam dates? That, our friends, we can never know. So why take the risk? IT'S NOW OR NEVER! Be a real estate broker or appraiser!
